Turns out this was the fastest economist 5k in Asia in the 2025/26 #econ5k. BlueSky bio updated
#Econ5K
I have just uploaded my #econ5k at @econ5k.bsky.social. It was on a Jan 1st. Looking back at the time, I can only guess that vitel tonnè, insalata russa, türtlin, bagna cauda, panetün of those days did not help much 🏃
Our #Econ5k group ran the shape of the Liberty Bell in downtown Philly as part of #ASSA2026. So much fun! Thanks @inaganguli.bsky.social @danielepaserman.bsky.social @owenozier.bsky.social Cynthia Bansak and Aurelia Lambert for joining!
Don’t forget to upload your #Econ5K results!

A Strava screen shot. Distance: 3.15 miles, Time: 32:31, Weather: Clear, -1F, feels like 2F.

Being the best economist I can and leaning into the #econ5k prize category in which I have a comparative advantage: Coldest
My runkeeper is on the right, my running companion's Strava is on the left. Strava's temperature reading is -1F
High altitude #ECON5k. Ran in Quito, roughly 9,300 feet above sea level. Quito is a very beautiful city! The Andes are no joke, they are big.
Here’s another entry for the artistic merit prize for this year’s #Econ5k competition: a Santa run. See you in Philly for #ASSA2026!
My entry for the 2025 (or is it 2026?) #econ5k. Restore the 80th percentile prize!
Here’s my entry for the 2026 #Econ5k competition for the artistic merit category, a back-to-back Christmas tree and Menorah run. See you in Philly for #ASSA2026!
Running the #ECON5k yesterday on a breathtakingly beautiful day in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Harvard-based economics folks (plus @dbergstresser.bsky.social) running the #ECON5k along the Charles River on a bright and extremely cold (~10 degrees Fahrenheit) morning

After 2 weeks of treadmill running due to dreadful air quality in Hanoi, was great to finally run outside again! My longest run (15.1 km) since starting running again around 2 years ago! Feeling v happy! 🙂🏃 #running #econ5k
Congrats!! Award winning strava art 🏅

Running during a break from #ASSA2025 is such a great way to see the sights and catch up with #Econ5k friends @inaganguli.bsky.social and @dbergstresser.bsky.social
Group run tomorrow (Friday) at 1pm, all paces welcome (I go slow!) #Econ5K
The route of a 19:59 5k.
Picture of me in running gear with a 2 year old in a jogging stroller and a 4 year old on a bike.
My attempt to defend the stroller division title for the #econ5k. Pushing 5 more pounds than last year, but she sang to me the entire run. We got some nice company on the cooldown.

I can’t think of a better 1st post on Bluesky introducing myself than posting today’s #Econ5K 🏃♀️ result. With Ironman 70.3 World Champs just 2 weeks ago, followed by lots of hiking at sea level, and some junk miles 🚴♀️ the last few days, I’m happy that I could produce some speed back at elevation 🥳
I am submitting for the as yet unannounced #Econ5k Cross-Country Ski category.
PS - the Dartmouth Cross-Country Ski Track is brutally hilly. Top elevation: 575', bottom: 415'. Groomed man-made snow is really slippery. I fell many times.
