Photo shows a Commerson's dolpin just breaching out of a wave and making a splash. There are 2 more dolphin still fully submerged in the wav but visible as black and white shapes below the main dolphin. Commerson's dolphins are one of the smallest dolphins and are one of two species resident in the Falklands It is visually striking with its black head and flippers sharply demarcated from the white body with a black dorsal fin which is rounded in shape the black then extending down the back to the tail. They are often seen close to shore surfing the waves as here. The sea is a deep blue in the foreground then green merging into a turquoise at the top of the photo, the colour dependent on the depth and the underlying sand and kelp
What a day! The sun was shining, the sea, reflecting the sun, was the most amazing blue, changing hue as it rolled in over the sand and the Sea Pandas played in the surf.

The sphere is on display in a new section of The Metropolitan Museum of Art with a simple blank wall behind it - info below: Diquís artist(s); Costa Rica Sphere 800-1150 CE Andesite Stone spheres have been found in open areas of settlements and at the base and top of mounds, structures that have been traditionally interpreted as leaders' residences. Most spheres measure between twenty-three and fifty-two inches in diameter, although some are larger. Quarried from sources several miles away, they were carefully carved and polished to achieve this final, seemingly perfect, spherical form.
