The satellite and radar over the Northland at 2:15 p.m. on March 29, 2026, shows cloud cover over most of the region. There is some clearing in the southern half of the I-35 Corridor and northwest Wisconsin regions. While the radar is detecting some possible showers, both rain and snow, moving over the northern half of the region, ground observations are not detecting any precipitation. At worst, some sprinkles and flurries are maybe reaching the ground.

Late night scene on a sidewalk of a street in a beautiful city at wintertime; random snow is scattered all around - some from the snowstorm two weeks ago and some new light snow that is slowly falling currently; it might accumulate to an inch overnight but we will wait and see; surrounding the scene are the old six-story brick buildings, some of which has been here from the neighborhood 's development; one of the buildings is used as a parking garage and there is a big white sign reading "PARK" hanging from the building's wall, as well as a traffic cone at the curb for safety; through the freezing cold air in the distance is a high rise condominium tower.

Nighttime scene on a street in a large city facing upward toward an installed banner amid a burst of wind-blown snow flurries; the snow stands out in the scene due to the ridiculously high-powered spotlight mounted to the pole; the vertical banner is red and it reads "Drivers: Protect Our Pedestrians and Cyclists" with figures of two small humanoids and another humanoid on a bicycle, below of which reads in red letters "Slow Down"; the VisionZero campaign has already made streets safer, particularly for cyclists; the red "Slow Down" on the banner needs to be much larger, and they might think to also remind drivers of pets - not complaining, just a hope for the future; there is a new mayor who seems to be down with safety, so we are excited; the background is a dark, cloudy sky surrounded by high-rise residential towers, which have some lights on; in the foreground, closer to eye level, is a lousy sidewalk shed that literally takes up the whole sidewalk, causing pedestrians to walk in the bike lane and making the block impassable for wheelchairs and mobility devices; this is a real safety problem that we have complained about and is a bit ironic that it is right under this banner; the city is a work in progress. 🙏

Daytime scene at a wet street intersection with moderate traffic in a large city during a period of winter snow showers; although there was very little accumulation in this neighborhood, the flurries were fun and had a vibe; one-hundred year old brick buildings with fire escapes and decorative frieze details line the other side of the avenue which, at the time these buildings were constructed, had an elevated subway track all the way down; now it is underground; several cars, including a yellow taxi cab, pass on the slick roadway as the wind blows the snow flurries at them; at the corner, one of the historic mixed-use buildings has an old-school diner; we do not know how old it is, but it is family-operated and has that retro atmosphere with pictures of silver screen stars of the past and is known for its omelettes.
