The sun has risen over #HurricaneRafael which is finally beginning to weaken. #Rafael should continue to meander across the Gulf of Mexico and could even do a loop. Fortunately it doesn't seem it will impact land again.

#HurricaneRafael, now a category 2 hurricane in the southern Gulf, yesterday become the eleventh November major (Cat 3+) hurricane on record in the Atlantic, Caribbean or Gulf since 1851.

Over the next couple of days, #Rafael will turn west and southwest and is not a threat to the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Recon finds a maintaining Hurricane Rafael this morning. A sharp turn left should happen; after that the track spread is huge so... We'll just have to see where the current takes him.

Recon has found that #18L is a tropical storm (#Rafael) with winds of ~45mph. Next update comes out in around an hour and we could see peak rise a decent amount.
