Early in our journey of becoming rare woodland custodians, we were challenged on how to manage the wood in ways that safeguard all rare species on site. They're threatened by invasive rhododendrons for a start.
This week we unpack our approaches to managing invasive species. 🌿
Plants like himalayan balsam & bracken can be a real problem on our nature reserves, creating mono-cultures that are poor habitat and outcompete native plants. So let's celebrate our volunteers who are out battling these villainous invasives every week! #InvasiveSpeciesWeek
