On the eve of Christmas, Day 24 of #NWECPAdvent is two sides of the #Wirral peninsula from #NewBrighton to #Parkgate on stage 27 of the guidebook. So many highlights - and at the end of a long day, the epic #sunsets the west coast specialises in (no, of course it's never cloudy or raining!!) ... 1/2

These are Far Arnside's limestone cliffs in #Arnside and #Silverdale National Landscape, a mere few miles from the #Lancashire border. 1/

Day 14 of #NWECPAdvent takes us from #Greenodd to #GrangeOverSands. We’ve crossed #CartmelFell on the old #CumbriaCoastalWay route as the #KCIIIECP isn’t open yet, to reach #HumphreyHead - a stunning grassed and wooded limestone outcrop with rare wildlife and views to #Morecambe and #Heysham. 1/2

I didn't forget #NWECPAdvent yesterday - I just didn't have the wherewithal, and that's fine. For all the jokes about #RestDays, they're vital, on long distance walks or in life. I didn't walk the stages as written - many were shortened & done in annual leave because weekends + day job was a *lot*.
