In Feb 2020, Chinese authorities arrested #XuZhiyong & subjected him to #RSDL with #torture. After extended detention, the court sentenced him to 14 years for #subversion. He went on hunger strike demanding right to communicate with fiancée #LiQiaochu.
5 years ago today, #ChinaGov arrested human rights lawyer #DingJiaxi & subjected him to #RSDL with #torture. After extended detention, the court sentenced him to 12 years for #subversion on Apr 10, 2023. The prison continues denying his right to family calls.
