Mutations in the #SOX9 TAM domain reduce SOX9 stability. SOX9 TAM mutants have normal spine development but display later #scoliosis. Mutant IVDs show reduction of ECM genes and Adgrg6, suggesting a Adgrg6-Sox9 feed-forward pathway in the regulation of spine stability.
