a pressure builds inside me, rising from belly to chest to throat - it is not bile, but repulsive all the same: it is an avalanche of refuse; mountains of garbage piling: hah. how very like myself. it cannot separate it cannot be sorted there's no recycling toxic waste, it is too far gone to manage - and so my being becomes a landfill, hastily burying the problem as it becomes even more of too much ... the tangles and knots of trash and debris are so complex, so taut, so visceral that my body cannot help but reflect them... it hurts.
