Very late to the party, but life's been busy. Finally saw #projecthailmary yesterday. I think #themartian did a better job with the science stuff, but this was still a hopeful, special, wonderful film for a time when those elements are in short supply.

I enjoyed #TheMartian a lot more than #ProjectHailMary. Sorry. It was a more fluid, linear film. Unfortunately, there's just something about stories about solo, marooned characters (Project Hail Mary, Cast Away, etc) that makes them less enjoyable.

For a few reasons that don't require a lot of maths #TheMartian is way up in my most rewatchable comfort movies of all time list, and amid a hundred other things I love the absolute perfection of holding back using I Will Survive until the perfect moment for its intro to drop into the end credits.
