Do I recommend?

Yes I liked every ep bar the far too on the nose pilot ep. Shame there's no more. I had to endure 44 eps of that horrible crap #TimeTrax yet this well made and clever show only has 9 eps. All that exists are VHS rips from TV but well worth it.

I don't need to know why this will get canned after 8 eps. The usual network TV sob story no? Perhaps this show doesn't have legs as it needs a new sci-fi procedural and concept every ep yet it's easily superior to contemporary TV sci-fi of #AlienNation and #TimeTrax.

This does feel like #TimeTrax but with a lead who can act. Are toxic Boomers going to murder this show like they did TimeTrax?
I'm burying the lead and that is that Chyna is the main villain this pilot. Naturally she's dressed like a WWE skank and behaving accordingly.

One thing about these eps is casting is excellent. This has Sheena Easton as a singer on the downward slide.
It tried hard but it was so derivative. It reminded me of #TimeTrax TV ep #1.19 "Beautiful Songbird" (10-Nov-93), so not a high bar.

I did this walkthrough in 2024 and 2025. Admittedly it took me forever as I only had poor VHS rips on YouTube. This show isn't particularly good. Quite forgettable at times. And it's been walloped with 1990s toxicity.

2024 was a false start for #Buffy.

S1 went down bad. S2 too. So my Buffy walkthrough died a death. #LeMans24H, #Euro2024 & #Olympics buried Buffy in the backyard.

But as my #SharpObjects, #MysteriousTraveler & #TimeTrax walkthroughs ended this week so I am resurrecting my Buffy walkthrough!

#TimeTrax I don't want to be too hard on this as there's a lot of good production work, casting, attention to detail. But as soon as Harve Bennett arrived this thing was dead. He was the past. If I had a proper DVD and not mere low quality VHS rips from TV then perhaps it would have fared better.

Do I recommend? No.

This show never elevated itself in terms of script or premise. It was begging for yet never created an arc in the 22nd century. So all the 20th century fare was too generic.

Actually not the worst ep in that the future fugitive mixed in well with the theme of the episode. However this show has always had this crass side that dulls the mind as well as when it defaults to generic TV action. Least this ep tried. But for me failed.
