Leo Marks wrote Code Poems for allied agents operating inside occupied Europe in WW II. Marks wrote the poem in Christmas 1943 about a girlfriend called Ruth, who had recently died in an air crash. The poem was given to #VioletteSzabo who was later captured, tortured & executed.
