In front of the Atomic Bomb Dome.
Visited Hiroshima Peace Memorial Day to pray for peace.
At 8:15 am on 6 August 1945, an Atomic Bomb was used against civilians for the first time in human history.
This building, just 160m from the hypocentre, partially survived.
It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Japan, it's often called a “negative heritage” for peace.
Designed by Czech architect Jan Letzel, it originally had a Neo-Baroque structure with Secession-style details.
Its dome once stood about 25m tall.
An atomic bomb is not just a “big bomb.”
