6 spot burnet moths, black and red but as you can see from the top two photos their scales give a greenish/gold glow in sunshine. Bottom left was just drying out. Bottom right is a perfect brown silver-line, who greeted me at the car park on Saturday, always the sign of a special day.

I’m actually a Wedding Photographer but wildlife is my hobby. I don’t have tick lists or check boxes of animals/birds I want to see. I go out with my mate and wait for the landscape to move. We hardly talk, just use actions so as not to alarm the wildlife - I’m hearing impaired, so it suits me fine. The image below, I’d stood absolutely stock still for about 20 minutes as they came across us by chance. The photo is ok but the actual moment was just beautiful...

Went for a 2-hour “Signs of Autumn” nature hike at #Brockholes yesterday. Love how they have Mr Toad - the bad driver from WitW - overlooking the carpark. (Bonus turkey tail mushroom pic.)
