Sunny Sunday = many humans w bikes + dogs in the v few semi-natural open access lands that are short bus rides away from Brighton & Hove so I didn't stay long along #DykeApproach path nor on #DevilsDyke but while there I focussed on the quiet stars that are still flowering & feeding wildlife!

Despite many shoots where men w more money than sense or even a care 4 bird or nature, go big bang with their guns, there are still 1000s of pheasants slipping through the "shooting game" to wander freely doing untold damage in natural habitats as here on #DevilsDyke NT land of good biodiversity.

Since my recent attendance at the #Undercliff school of Stealth & Patience watching master #GreyHeron, I might have passed stealth walker basics today!
Spent 1 hr watching young Roe buck feeding in horse paddock just beyond fence @ #DevilsDyke when it flopped down in tall grass 2m away from me. ❤️

On south facing slope of #DevilsDyke an Adonis & a Common Blue male were competing 4 attention of female Adonis .. it was clear she was already mated & was having none of it.
Pretty sure I heard her mutter: "You can just sod off the pair of you!" 🙄
