I've only sorted and pinned a very small fraction of the ichneumonds collected by the 6-meter Malaise I have in central Utah. Among other discoveries is a new species of Tricholabus!

Hopefully an interesting parasitoid will emerge from this larva aeterna.
If it is a Diadegma it will likely appear in October. Males tend to emerge in the first third of Oct whilst females emerge in the second third (before the 20th).

Black wasp with the front two tergites of its long abdomen a striking yellow. There is another yellow dot on its thorax and yellow sections to its legs it has long antennae and narrow wings folded over its legs but not over its body. It rests on a green leaf in the sunshine with a clear shadow of its form on the leaf.
