As Mother Jones once said, “Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living.” In honor of #InternationalWorkersMemorialDay, we reflect on the colleagues we’ve lost and recommit as a labor union to continue the fight for safe workplaces for all.

Groups of workers fighting for their rights
Today, we remember the workers around the globe who have lost their lives or been injured at work. We stand with workers fighting to come home safely. #internationalworkersmemorialday
Today we observe #InternationalWorkersMemorialDay, where we remember the thousands of men and women who have been hurt or killed on the job.
The labor movement was founded to protect workers in their workplaces - and we will continue to fight for safe working conditions and safe jobs for all.
#HealthAndSafety at work is also about a toxic 'always on call' work culture of self- and external exploitation.
Stress is a brutal killer, and leaves many more wounded behind.
We need to act on psychosocial risks!

Today, on #InternationalWorkersMemorialDay, I remember those lost at work.
Too many people leave for work, never to come to come home. These deaths happen because safety wasn't prioritised.
I honour them today and reaffirm my commitment to working for safer workplaces for all.
