Wondering if "we were busy marvelling at the contents of our moth trap" would be accepted as a valid reason for the kids to be late to school? ๐ค๐ซฃ๐

This small moth is a Barred Fruit-tree Tortrix , Pandemis cerasana.
Even smaller, this is a Barred Grass-veneer , Agriphila inquinatella, one of the Crambidae.
The Barred Marble , Celypha striana, is another small moth in the Tortricidae family .
The biggest of the 4 is the Barred Straw , Gandaritis pyraliata, one of the Geometridae. So the connection is in the name, they are all 'Barred'
Some more moths from last year. Can you guess what they have in common? Comment if you think you know the answer :-) (Or read the ALT text hehe)

Found a few of these on the house wall (Bridgwater/Somerset). They seem to be empty so I wondered if they were parasitised? Any idea on what type of caterpillar and/or parasite? #WildlifeUK , #NatureUK , #InvertebratesUK , #InsectsUK , #CaterpillarsUK, #MothsUK , #ParasitesUK
