A close up of a Plum Tortrix moth sitting on an indoor window frame. The forewing is blackish and leaden bluish grey, sparsely speckled whitish, the outer edge of the dark basal patch angled outwards near the middle, the apical third whitish, mottled silvery greyish and dark brown; there are two blackish dots placed beyond the angle of the outer edge of the dark basal patch, and dark brown quarter circle mark at the apex.

this tiny moth has a wing span of about 18mm. In this pic the wings are closed. Its wing is pale yellow at the top with a turquoise swirl on it. The yellow gradually becomes gold then 2 thick white bands outlined in black separate the gold from the tip which is a shimmering gold with black stipes. The moth is sat on the end of a leaf

Looking at the section that had been mostly cut on Friday. Tony brush cutting & Mike on fires. Clear up duty begins!
Afterwards the area is now cleared & raked. The fire just fluently smoking. This section is now ready for young Aspen to naturally colonise & create habitat for the micro moths.

I'm hoping this is a Green longhorn (Adela reaumurella) moth, resting on a Cuckoo flower (Cardamine pratensis).
