Excited to share a few updates. First, our new study was published in #NatureSustainability a couple of weeks ago and quantifies the financial risks faced by fossil-fuel power-plant operators under different climate-mitigation pathways, while identifying the companies that own those assets.

One article that piqued our interest this month:
A publication in #NatureSustainability investigates the correlation between climate change and the satellite carrying capacity of Earth’s low orbit.

The editorial features our recent #paper in #NatureSustainability and emphasizes that #citizenscience and #AI can help address key data gaps in the #SDGs and address each other's challenges, but they, especially #ArtificialIntelligence, must be implemented responsibly: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Cacao plantation in the ‘Eco-Cacao’ project in Peru - one farmworker is standing in the middle of the scene which shows cacao trees with thick, shiny green leaves. Bluish mountains are in the background and white clouds hang in a bright blue sky. Tree crops such as these offer important sources of income for local people and can - with sustainable strategies - protect biodiversity. Photo thanks to Blanca Blanca Ivañez-Ballesteros
Orchard meadow in Germany - trees are in full blossom and look naturally arranged. Red-tiled houses are in the background. It's a sunny day with dark shadows cast by the trees on thick lush green grass. Such tree crops often have a high level of biodiversity, which can be promoted through sustainable management. Tree crops crucial for sustainable development! From apples to coffee to olives, orchards are needed for local economies, #biodiversity, climate protection, and much more. Researchers call for tailored policies: s.gwdg.de/9CWpWS, #NatureSustainability research @funcagroeco.bsky.social: doi.org/n2rm
The evidence is very clear: movements need to have a radical flank disrupting normalcy through #nonviolent #civildisobedience.”
A study in #NatureSustainability ...radical climate protests increase support for more moderate environmental groups, and help to normalize more #progressive policies.
One-step conversion of biomass to reduced graphene oxide at room temperature. #NatureSustainability
"This protocol has been applied successfully to various types of biomass and carbohydrates, delivering a 33% mass yield of GR2M product."
