Photograph taken of a window at the C18th Mellon Homestead farmhouse, within the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh. The living museum park charts the difficult emigration history of many from Ireland to the Americas following years of famine, poverty, unfair taxes and hardship. Image is a sash window with four panes of glass in the upper and lower window sections. An old net curtain hangs at the lower part. The window is white but its wooden surround is a red-brown. It sits within an old whitewashed, lumpy, stone wall. On the sill is a carved turnip with a sad mouth for halloween.
