In our latest study, we took a critical look at #fungal family #Nectriaceae by analyzing 1,530 #genomes! We built a robust #phylogenomic backbone that supports current taxonomy but also reveals gene-tree discordance and unresolved boundaries. More info www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

I was more interested in finding #nematode lineages to fill in the gaps in the #phylogenomic tree. We collected some arthropods outside the reserve and found #parasiti Rhigonematidae in millipedes and Thelastomatidae in cockroaches and mole crickets
"One of these days I will make a #phylogenomic tree of all trees used as #Christmas trees, and make a 3D model of it with each branch from the wood of those trees" - my thought every year in Nov/Dec for the past 15 years. Maybe someone has already done this. Have they?
