A juvenile red-footed booby bird stands next to its parent on top of a nest. The juvenile is completely covered in white fluff and its face and beak are charcoal grey. The adult’s feathers are brown and its face is not visible, as it’s turned away from the camera. Bright green leaves surround the nest.

A photo looking up from the Chicago River at the River City residential building. The sun is out of frame, but its glow is visible in the upper right of the frame.

River City is one of my favorite buildings in Chicago. I’ve never been in it, but I just love the look of it. I think it would be cool as hell living in a giant cheese grater. Or maybe a loofah.

I’m clearly not an architect.
