Here is the door of the Barracks on #SteepHolm island in the #BristolChannel .The #Victorian Barracks would have housed some 28 soldiers in addition to the Master Gunner and his wife in the married quarters.

Two Sylvanian Families babies are looking hesitantly at a metal grate in a concrete floor, with many types of plants growing through from below. Pickle, a grey striped cat baby, has a hand raised to their mouth as they lean sideways towards a tiny cradled black cat baby who is so close theybare touching. It's Reggie!
Many buildings on the special island have plants growing in them! They are very nice but it means we have to be very careful where we walk.
I still fall over lots so I will hold onto Pickle to be safe.

Three Sylvanian Families babies are on a worn concrete window ledge with rusted metal frame. Outside the window is an old, leaning tree with moss-covered, deeply fissured bark that stands in front of a stone wall. The Sylvanians are, Red Pop, a deer baby in a brown shift decorated with slender leaf sprigs, and red shoes, who is walking in from the left; Pickle, a grey striped cat baby in a t-shirt that matches Red Pop's shift, with brown trousers and matching red shoes, who is standing on the right looking out at the tree. We are on a special island!
You can only get there on a few days when the sea tides will let you.
We have to stay for the WHOLE DAY before the tides will let us leave so we are exploring.

A stainless steel handrail and one of it's uprights - which, patently, isn't stainless steel, as it is subject to rust. The hand runner drops from top left corner to bottom right corner, at an angle of about 45 degrees. From the bottom of the photo to the bottom of the sky is the, de-focused, Bristol Channel. At the right where the sea meets the cloudy sky is, again de-focused, Steepholm Island. This Image is also a bit of a selfie too!
