I’ve finally got round to contacting the church which took over the Baptist church in #Sudbourne. I’m hoping they can help me with info on ancestors who were active there, & possibly a brick wall in the nearby village of #Tunstall, whose chapel merged with Sudbourne 🤞🏻 #OnePlaceWednesday

#onthisday, 29 October 1891, #Tunstall #TurkishBaths were opened, though the swimming pool & slipper baths had opened the previous July. A 1st Class Turkish cost 1/- & 6d for 2nd Class. The baths closed in 2011—Council cost-cutting—though the Turkish baths may have closed as early as 1918. 🗃️ #C19th
