The author has crafted such wonderful characterisations: from the frightened and fragile Olive, to her angry brother Peter, each child's emotions felt real and raw. The adult characters are equally compelling, and the gentle romance adds warmth without overshadowing the children's journeys.

You can almost hear the rattle of the evacuees' train, feel the weight of their gas masks, and sense the anxiety of leaving home at the outset of the war. The author brings wartime Wales vividly to life, grounding the story in everyday small things that make the setting feel utterly authentic.

I’m a huge fan of Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
I bought this documentary when it came out. I know Armin & Kitty Shimerman and their fantastic theater in Glendale.
I have not been able to attend any performances since I contracted COVID.
