Dead leaves on the ground, a long coffin-shaped stone covered with moss and ivy, a fence, and a blue sign reading: "This is where the mourners halted and the coffin rested on its way to the funeral. Psalms were sung, thirst was quenched with home brewed ale and cider, and substantial meat pies eaten. Even now the hearse often pauses here on its way to the church."

Looking straight along the middle of a narrow 'rope' bridge across the River Wye. It is built using steel cables, wire mesh and wood for the deck. It was very wobbly and bouncy to cross on, only 6 people at a time are allowed on it and they all have to be going in the same direction !

Taken from the top of Symonds Yat Rock looking down at the River Wye as it starts it's huge loop to end up less than a quarter of a mile from where I'm standing. The river passes through lush pasture and steep tree covered slopes... somewhere in there Peregrin Falcons can be found.

My attempt at a Cooper Test in a river valley with not much flat. On a hot day, but after the peak, starting out at 22°C
Warmed up walking down the hill: 30m down in 300m
Ran 6+6 mins out and back as flat as possible.
Using a Garmin workout: warm up/run/run/cool down.
Achieved 2320m in the time […]
