I first visited #LadywalkNR nearly 5 years ago looking for Bittern, I basically never left and finally today i saw a Bittern here 🥳 it's been a classic patch day with the Tundra Bean Goose as well, only able to get part way round due to heavy flooding.

We thought there might have been two YBW yesterday so returned this afternoon and found two birds chasing each other in some wet Sallows next to fishery! Third bird called the other side of railway some distance away!!!

Fishery lane again showing its worth with Ben picking out a YBW this morning. Feeding mostly in Sallows between Blythe and Southern end of Bourne meadow along the lane. Same spot as the 3 Pied flys in Spring.

YBW was a nice find by @benjeaton.bsky.social this morning at Ladywalk, and very happy I was at Ladywalk at the time!
It proved elusive, hence poor photos, also present was a part leucistic Lapwing, which got heart racing for a sec!
The White-fronted Goose remains with the Greylag & Canada flock.
