The genesis of the Arleta Triangle was desire for traffic calming in that area. Reduced speeds along Woodstock from 205 to 52nd would help alot IMO. #20isPlenty

Enjoyed meeting with our local police this morning on Ashley Down Road and Ralph Road, with the speed monitor. Both these roads have terrible issues with speeding. Letters will be sent to all those who were speeding. We’re also going to set up a community speed watch team with residents. #20isPlenty

As I was — very obviously — taking a photo of ~10 #20IsPlenty signs on one block of Irving, a white Tesla with no front plate flew by doing 30+ mph. Didn’t even glance at me, standing next to my cargo bike in the street.

**Two people have been taken to hospital** following a **road traffic collision** in **Sydenham** that led to the temporary closure of a major road. Emergency services were called to the scene at **6:45pm on Sunday (16March)** after the crash occurred at the **junction of Wells Park Road and Longton Avenue** in **SE26**. Paramedics from **London Ambulance Service** arrived swiftly and provided treatment to **two injured individuals** at the scene before transporting them to hospital for further care. The **extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed**. A spokesperson for **London Ambulance Service** said: _We were called at 6.45pm on Sunday 16 March to reports of a roadtraffic collision at the junction of Wells Park Road and Longton Avenue, SE26. We sent ambulance crews to the scene and treated two patients before taking them to hospital.”_ ### **Road Closure and Investigation** Following the crash, **Wells Park Road was closed for several hours** to allow for **crash investigation work**. According to reports from the **AA** , the road remained shut for approximately **12 hours** , but it is **no longer reported as closed** as of Monday morning. The **MetropolitanPolice** were contacted for further details regarding the incident and investigation, but have **not yet issued a statement**. ### **Ongoing Concerns** Local residents have expressed concerns about **safety at the junction** , which has been the site of previous incidents. There are now calls for **traffic-calming measures or improved signage** to reduce the risk of further collisions.
