Grande aigrette venant tout juste de se poser sur une étendue d’eau marécageuse et peu profonde. Ses ailes sont à moitié repliées, son cou tendu, les plumes de sa tête un peu hérissées. Elle se tient devant une prairie de roseaux et de végétation brunâtre. Les tons de la photo sont assez sombres et sableux.

Grande aigrette un peu punk, février 2025.

Twee exemplaren van de Grote Zilverreiger. 'Normaal' met gele snavel en zwarte beentjes, maar in de broedtijd zwarte snavel en rode beentjes. Het rood is grotendeels verdwenen, onder de knietjes alweer donker. Niet te verwarren met de Kleine Zilverreiger, die heeft een donkerder oogvlek, altijd zwarte beentjes en opvallende groengele voetjes.
