Meet the #NSWBeachBirds: Pied Oystercatcher! Listed as #Vulnerable in NSW, you'll find this black and white #BeachNestingBird on sandy beaches, probing its long bill in the mud to get bivalve molluscs (aka clams) to eat! They are one of the few #shorebirds that feed their youngs!

HOODED PLOVER: This unmistakable #plover with a black hood is endemic to Southern Australia. Loves ocean beaches but also found in inland salt lakes in WA. Listed as vulnerable, it’s the most endangered #BeachNestingBird in Australia.
