Day 21 of a month of bread baking was….weird. I used a box mix to make a Tomato-Basil quick bread, and I didn’t really care for the taste. It had a soft quick bread texture but just tasted of like…weird savory spices. Oh well. #breadsky #homebaker

First time making using tangzhong! Japanese milk bread (2:3 whole wheat : bread flour). Didn't rise as much as a white bread would, no surprise, and I went light on the sugar compared to the recipe but it still tastes slightly sweet.

* Made a sponge mixture with whole wheat flour, yeast and scalded milk the night before.

Day 18 of a month of bread baking was time for an experiment: strawberry cheesecake rolls. Imagine a cinnamon roll...except the middle is sweetened cream cheese and strawberry powder. It tasted great, but it was definitely overfull and messy. Will be a good recipe someday! #breadsky #homebaker
