A green hairstreak. The butterfly is facing left, but its head is turned away from the camera. As a result, the eye is barely visible and one of the antennae can be seen. It is alternating white and black up to very near the tip, where it turns all black with a small orange spot at the tip. The wings, which are closed, are a brilliant green with light brown edging with a line of small white dots just to the right of the center of the wing. It is perched atop a small blade of grass.

A fine autumn day. This is a five-stone circle (the stones are not large, maybe knee to waist height) with a stone row adjacent, the large stone in the photo (about 2.5m) is part of the row. The views are stunning, across to Killmakilloge Harbour and Knockatee mountain. There's another circle about 70m away, and the mediรฆval road from Kenmare to Castletownberehaven can be seen to the north.

A beautiful sunny September day with blue skies, fluffy clouds and strong shadows. The tomb is set in rough pasture, and photographed from the unusual open antechamber or portico end, with the large capstone and chamber visible beyond.

A view of Uragh stone circle, which has a very large axial stone with a wiggle in it from this angle. Itโs set on a raised plateau between two loughs and beyond it, at the head of Lough Inchiquin, thereโs a waterfall, just visible. Itโs a fine day with sunshine breaking through the clouds.
