Doing the #100dayproject and making progress on the hexie quilt I started four years ago. Goal is to make 10 hexies a day or put a group together. Here are the 71 hexies I made days 1-7, and the diamond of hexies made on day 8.

Large quilt held aloft in a living room. The quilt is decorated with on-point diamond-shaped English paper pieced blocks in the Lucy Boston pattern, all made from honeycomb shapes. Interspersed within the thirty blocks, all made from scrap fabric, are two-inch hexagons in a variety of prints. The backing fabric are three different blues forming the top third, with a block of pink as the remainder. The blocks are appliqued onto the those fabrics, bordered by strips of prints in a variety of colours.

Laid on a carpeted floor is a brightly coloured Alexandria Quilt, an English paper-pieced pattern by Jodi Godfrey. Made from hexagon-based blocks in greens, pinks, yellows, and blues, it's enhanced with other hexagon blocks in vibrant scrappy shades and designs. A large quilt-in-progress, much remains to be sewn. This photo is of the current state of stitching, with loose blocks acting as placeholders for blocks still to be completed.
