#AgedWineTuesday Pale lemon in color with a golden hue. Pretty nose with nice elegance. Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing citrus, lemons, green apples, limes, Indian spices, earth, minerals, brioche, sea salt and light river rocks. Tangy finish with limes and light almonds. This young English Blanc de Blanc is starting to drink nicely now, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years. This 12 year old English Sparkling is elegant and easy drinking. Tangy and interesting. Good by itself or with food, and will pair nicely with oysters. 100% Chardonnay grapes were aged for 8 years on the lees. A small production of only 4,000 bottles made. 12% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $80.

Redfold Vineyards Ambriel Sparkling Blanc de Noirs 2016, Sussex, England In celebration of International Women's Day, here’s a wine crafted by a woman. Pale golden in color. Fresh nose of citrus, light yeast and spices. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity, and medium size bubbles. Dry on the palate with limes, lemons, green apples, light grapefruits, yeast, minerals, herbs, light earth and white pepper. Nice and spicy finish with herbs and light almonds. This is a tasty Sparkling wine from England. Still young, but already showing nice complexity. This 9 year old English Sparkling is nicely balanced and elegant. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years. Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. A blend of 98% Pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Meunier. Aged for 5 years on the lees. Disgorged in 2022. Made in the Traditional Method. 11.5% alcohol by volume. 90 points. $40.
