Krug Grande Cuvée 171th Edition Brut Champagne, France Lemon in color with a golden hue. Pretty nose with flowers, yeast, citrus, lemons, green apples, limes, spices, herbs and minerals. Medium bodied with high acidity, and medium sized bubbles. Dry on the palate with limes, grapefruits, citrus, green apples, light earth, minerals, herbs, sea salt and light spices. Long finish with limes and light herbs. This is a delicious Champagne, but feels extremely young. Elegant and nicely balanced. Complex and interesting. Rich and tangy. Soft and smooth. Much better after 45 minutes of airtime, and better when not too cold. Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. A blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay and 18% Meunier. 12.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $250.

Louis Revoir Cuvée Prestige Brut Champagne, France Pale lemon in color. Strong nose of citrus, apples, light yeast and minerals. Medium bodied with medium plus acidity, and medium plus sized bubbles. Dry on the palate with limes, light grapefruits, herbs, spices, earth, green apples and sea salt. Short finish with limes and spices. This is a nice entry level Champagne. Crisp and refreshing. A little unbalanced, but very enjoyable. Good by itself, and better with food. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. 12% alcohol by volume. 89 points. $45.

Medium plus in body with medium sized bubbles, and medium plus acidity. Dry on the palate with red and green apples, citrus, lemons, yeast, sea salt, limes, light earth, herbs and spices. Long finish with limes and light marzipan notes. This is a delicious Champagne. Fruit forward, elegant and complex. Nicely balanced and easy drinking. Good right out of the bottle, spicy and entertaining. Good by itself as a sipping wine. A blend of 42% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 18% Pinot Meunier. Mostly from the 2018 vintage, with 30% from older vintages. Drank from a Magnum. 12.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $70.

This 5 year old Sparkling wine from Oregon is still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking very nicely. Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes of airtime. This Single Vineyard Pinot Meunier is well balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and entertaining. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food. 100% Pinot Meunier grapes from 35 year old vines, were aged for 5 years on the lees. A small production of only 1,200 bottles. Disgorged in 2025. 12% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $90.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and tiny bubbles. Dry and fruit forward on the palate with over ripened apples, light red fruits, limes, citrus, spices, light yeast, sea salt, light earth and herbs. Long finish with limes. This is a delicious Rosé Champagne. Elegant, and a tad over it's peak. Complex and interesting. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Argyle Winery Extended Tirage Brut Rosé 2012, Willamette Valley, Oregon #AgedWineTuesday Pretty color of peach with a golden hue. Fruity nose of strawberries, peaches, limes, light grapefruits, light yeast, seaweed, white pepper, crushed oyster shells and minerals. Medium bodied with medium acidity and small bubbles. Very dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, citrus, lemons, green and red apples, sea salt, minerals, light yeast and white pepper. Long finish with limes and spices. This is a gorgeous Sparkling Rosé from Oregon. Elegant and nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Showing a beautiful nose once it opened up. Complex and entertaining. This 13 year old is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Showing good structure and balance. Needs 30 minutes to open up properly, so be patient. Drinking it with the winemaker made the whole experience even better. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. A blend of 75% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. Aged on its lees for 10 years. 12.5% alcohol by volume. 93 points. $100.

Bright red in color. Fresh red berries on the nose and medium in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate and fruit forward. Showing raspberries, fresh cherries, light spices and herbs. Fine grained tannins on the finish with tangy raspberries. My first Pinot Meunier as a single varietal. A nice surprise. This Single Vineyard Pinot Meunier from Eola-Amity Hills, is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Soft and smooth, with mild complexity. Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. A good party wine and good for the pool too. 100% Pinot Meunier grapes. A tiny production of only 1,200 bottles. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 89 points. $55.

Fresh nose of citrus, light yeast and spices. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity, and medium size bubbles. Dry on the palate with limes, lemons, green apples, light grapefruits, yeast, minerals, herbs, light earth and white pepper. Nice and spicy finish with herbs and light almonds. This is a tasty Sparkling wine from England. Still young, but already showing nice complexity. This 9 year old English Sparkling is nicely balanced and elegant. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years. Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. A blend of 98% Pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Meunier. Aged for 5 years on the lees. This 14 year old Vintage Champagne is showing nice complexity and mouthfeel. Feels young, especially on the nose. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years, and see how it evolves. Pale salmon in color. Strong nose of raspberries, strawberries, citrus, yeast, bread and minerals. Medium in body with medium plus acidity and small bubbles. Dry on the palate with citrus, green apples, light raspberries, earth, light yeast, minerals and sea salt. Nice length on the finish with almonds and limes. This is a delicious Rosé Champagne. Well balanced and entertaining. Complex and interesting. Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. A blend of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Meunier. Aged for 36 months on its lees. 12% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $120.

Nfinity Cellars Sparkling Wine Brut Non Vintage, North Coast, California Light yellow in color. Yellow apples on the nose with light peaches and light yeast. Medium plus in body with small bubbles, and medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing. Dry on the palate with apples, pears, ripe lemons, light herbs, yeast, spices, minerals, brioche and sea salt. Tangy finish with limes and more bread notes. This is a very tasty Sparkling Wine from California. Feels like an entry level Champagne, which surprised me a bit. Nicely balanced and easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel. Creamy and elegant. Salty and interesting. Good by itself or with food, and better when not too cold. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. Made in the Traditional Method. 12.5% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $40.
