Siya Legenzda of Alfreton Town scored two goals in the sides vital 3-2 away win at Marine AFC in the National League North. The win takes the #GreatEscape to the final weekend of the season with Alfreton having spent most of the season in the relegation zone. A win for Alfreton over Curzon and defeat for Kings Lynn against playoff chasing Chester will see what looked impossible become reality.

My week was bookended with #sunrise and #sunset visits to Happisburgh on the #Norfolk coast, capturing the historic lighthouse surrounded by fields of golden oilseed rape. This sunset didn’t quite deliver, so I guess another trip is on the cards 🙂

Walking along the South Bank, I noticed people on the balcony of the Royal National Theatre. They created a striking counterpoint to the strong lines of the building’s Brutalist architecture. The black and white treatment adds drama to the sky, which appears lighter around the silhouettes of the figures.

Oil seed rape fields are just beginning to bloom in rural Aberdeenshire as the temperatures rise and daylight lengthens. A beautiful big blue sky and wonderfully fluffy clouds along with the Pitmedden community trust wind turbine in the distance complete a fairly minimal idyllic scene.

I ventured up to Happisburgh #norfolk on Sunday morning for a sunrise shoot. The farmer has cultivated an oilseed rape crop, apparently it's the first time in about 10 years. New spring growth in stark contrast to the eroding cliffs.

St Paul's church in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter looking lovely in the spring sunshine. I am not such a fan of the large office block in the background. Such buildings are difficult to blend into a picture but the trees do a good job. There is a nice open feel to the square framed by the trees.
