How to enjoy Easter chocolate without wrecking your sleep If you love a late-night chocolate egg, you may struggle to sleep. A sleep expert explains why.

"Eating #chocolate in the evening may cause #AcidReflux because ingredients such as caffeine & theobromine relax the muscles that keep #stomach acid in place. Chocolate also has a high #fat content, which can slow digestion.": buff.ly/etOI3QF

Key Points
• We employed Atmo Capsules to measure the frequency and amplitude of stomach contractions using a method called accelerometry which detects changes in capsule orientation and acceleration.
• Stomach contractions occurring at a frequency of 3 cycles per minute were found which were lower in amplitude in patients with delayed gastric emptying compared to healthy controls and individuals with normal gastric emptying.
• This technical assessment provides support for the Atmo Capsule accelerometer to characterize normal and abnormal stomach contractile profiles in patients with suspected motility disorders.

Stop Wasting Your Nutrients: How to Increase Protein Absorption In today's episode we're exploring why eating protein isn't the same as absorbing it, distinguishing simple consumption from actual cellular utilization. We dive into the science of bioavailability to ensure you aren't wasting your nutrients through poor digestion or common dietary mistakes. You will learn how to optimize stomach acid with apple cider vinegar, leverage proteolytic enzymes from tropical fruits, and neutralize anti-nutrients in plant proteins. We also debunk the 30g protein myth and explain why leucine and Vitamin B6 are critical for muscle synthesis. Stop flushing your gains away and start maximizing your results today. Top: Experimental set up. Single pulses of TMS were applied to the hand area of the right primary motor cortex with an inter-pulse interval randomized between 6 and 10 s. Simultaneously, the neuronavigated coil position (yellow), electrocardiogram (red), respiratory signal (blue), electrogastrogram (green), and electromyography from the left hand (gray) were recorded. The figure shows traces of a 20-s time segment from one participant of the cardiac (raw), respiratory (filtered), gastric (filtered), and EMG (raw) signals. The experimental measure was the Motor Evoked Potential amplitude measured on a hand muscle (first dorsal interosseous), analyzed against the phase of the cardiac, respiratory, and gastric rhythms. Note that the three rhythms have very different periods (~1 s for the heart, ~ 5 s for respiration, and ~20 s for the gastric rhythm). Bottom: Artwork illustrating how rhythms of the internal organs interact with the moment-to-moment fluctuations observed in corticospinal motor excitability. Image depicts an outline of a brain with representations of the three rhythmic organs influencing the motor system: the heart, lungs, and stomach. Image credit: Tahnée Engelen.
