Just realised, I forgot to mention that I completed the Manchester Marathon a couple of weeks back.
4:36:01. Was on for 4:15 but the heat got to me eventually. Was forced to walk the final 5k for fear of a big cramp, some weren't so lucky on that front.

RING THAT BELL 🔔
What a race! MCR was legendary.
Paced well for about 33km but heat got to me and HR soared 🥵
8mins over my A goal but still managed a PB. Really had to dig for it though!
A great experience and a lot to take from it. On to the next!

Now I've done one, roll on Malaga Marathon for that Sub 4hours

That was my 25th road marathon, and, having had plenty of time en route to consider it, definitely the hardest one!
I don't recall seeing so many runners collapsed by the side of the course and after the finish.

Huge credit to all who ran today’s #manchestermarathon. We set up an impromptu water station at mile 23 and bought up all of kings road tescos supply, as people were really suffering in the heat. Absolute heroes one and all.
