My evolution as a runner continues to confound me. Approximately 8 years ago, I was doing a Couch to 5K program with @travelingtvi.bsky.social. Today, I just finished writing a marathon training plan for some other racers. #StevenRuns #ItsMyTimeToRun #RunChat
selfie of me after 12km run on the grassy/tree lined running path with another woman runner coming up behind me. Me, woman, freckled fair complexion, purple sweat drenched running hat, pink running shirt drenched around the collar, red faced, dark eyes, smiling. Woman running behind me, very tanned skin, long green tights, purple t-shirt, dark hat.
Holly cow. Just finished #running 12k today and woman runner twice exclaims “your arms are amazing!” I love runners 😻 #runpunks #runchat #runsky This woman is a gem. Wanted to try for 120 mins but storm rolling in earlier than scheduled so paced for ~ 75 mins.
Dropping into an aid station during an ultra can sometimes seem overwhelming. You might leave with a half-eaten donut, a dimming headlamp, and the hope you can make it to the finish.
Instead, here are tips on making the most of an aid station.

#5KADay 631+ #running count got way off somehow since my daily count is 5Ks + 10ks + half marathon. Will eventually do a reconciliation. Closed March ~183kms, sore ankles/calves running in older shoes yesterday for ☔️ but hubby was wrong. Today for April 1 should be a longer/slower 🏃♀️ #Runsky #Runchat
Half marathon training continues with a 4 mile easy run. Still not up to fitness but a slight improvement on last time out and hoping to be as ready as I can be in 25 days for Poseidon Athens Half #running #halfmarathontraining #coros #runsky #runchat

Are structured Zone 2 intervals just overcomplicating easy riding, or are there science-backed reasons you should try Zone 2 intervals?

Zone 2 is the bedrock of endurance training and ultramarathon pacing, but if you’re only training at Zone 2 intensity, then you’re leaving a significant amount of performance on the table.

#5KADay 556 #running a simple 5km Sunday doing more speed work. Too 🥵 yesterday for the track so a 6’10” pace is excellent on the trail with all the crossings, broken pavement & doubling back. Tired today. Tight L🦶, tight calves today #Runchat #Runsky
Skip the hype and get back to basics with these spicy variations that hit all the right areas. A good idea any way but especially on a rest and recovery day for runners and other athletes.
