Senior Cup: Dungannon 1 Randalstown 4 Final We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Senior Cup Final between Dungannon and Randalstown at Stormont Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. Having covered both sides recently I was expecting a tight, low scoring game, but Randalstown had other ideas and the yopened the scoring after 2 minutes as Stacey Catterson got the final touch at an early penalty corner from their first attack.

Senior Cup: Portadown College 2 Banbridge Academy 0 Semi Final We caught up with the second Ulster Hockey Schoolgirls Senior Cup semi final between Portadown College and Banbridge Academy on Wednesday afternoon at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club. The game started at a lively pace and Banbridge were awarded an early penalty stroke after a tackle by Portadown's captain Rebekah Lennon on Banbridge's Alyssa Sommerville. Unfortunately, for Banbridge, the stroke from Ruby Johnston was saved by Makyla Stevenson.

Such is the dominance of Ulster Schoolgirls Hockey in Ireland these provincial semi finals are probably of a higher standard than the All Ireland Finals next month and it was a pleasure to cover four class sides in the two semi finals.

This was the last quarter final to be played in the Senior Cup with a semi final against Portadown College at Lisnagarvey on Wednesday waiting for the winner.

Senior Cup: Larne 0 Randalstown 1 Semi Final We caught up with the Ulster Ladies Senior Cup semi final between Larne and Randalstown at Larne Grammar on Saturday afternoon. It's always nice to finish off close to home on a Saturday and it's a double bonus when you get a quality game like this from my home town heroes. It looks like both these sides could be competing for top spot in Senior 1 come the end of the season so this was always going to be a cagey affair.

You have to feel some sympathy for BRA, indeed any side, who had to face the all conquering Armagh in the early rounds of the Senior Cup but the home side had a bright opening quarter and looked dangerous on the break.

Senior Cup: Sullivan Upper 3 Foyle College 2 I caught up with the Senior Cup hockey match between Sullivan Upper and Foyle College on Saturday morning at Sullivan. Foyle started brightly and came close to scoring in the first minute with an early chance just wide. The visitors went on to create a few chances in the first half but it remained scoreless. The Sullivan defence was caught out at a couple of penalty corners in the second quarter as Rosie McHugh opened the scoring with a clean strike to give Foye a 0 - 1 lead.

Senior Cup: Larne 1 Raphoe 0 Quarter Final With a raft of cancellations on Saturday I was able to stay close to home and catch the Ulster Hockey Senior Cup Quarter Final match between Larne and Raphoe at Lower Cairncastle Road. It's been quite the rejuvenation at Larne who sit atop Senior 1, battling for a third straight promotion, but they had to battle hard against an experienced Raphoe side in this lively encounter.
