The magical caves at Derrible Bay, Sark. A large pool of cold, mirror-bright seawater reflects the sunny cavemouth and the dark maroon cave ceiling. Sand edging around the pool is rippled by the tide. The acoustic in here is wonderful. Photo by Xander Sable.

I didn't need to refer back to this photo to summon up the caves; they're once experienced, never forgotten. Swimming out in Derrible Bay, you can whoop and every cavemouth sings back to you. I won't post the short, as I feel buoyed up to polish it and try to home it somewhere. #nature #senseofplace
