An Eastern giant swallowtail on a clover. Its wings are partially open. The large butterfly is mostly black with multiple yellow spots forming a diagonal down the middle of its upper wing, with a couple of other yellow lines branching off from that out to the edge of the wing. The lower wings has a yellow line going across the bottom of the wing. The wings have tails on them that are black with a yellow spot in the middle.

A dark morph female Eastern tiger swallowtail on wild bergamot. There are several flowers in the picture. The butterfly is on the one in the center, which can barely be seen because of the size of the butterfly. It is facing up.
