Perhaps use of #amantadine could be replaced by an another repurposed #antiviral #valacyclovir - which almost completely resolves my fatigue and balance issues AND keeps me from escalating to “progression”. We seem to have more issues keeping herpesvirus in check than influenza lol. #MS

As a #PwMS, my fatigue was “due to” #MS. And worsening #balance and #cognitivefatigue.
It was extreme. It also responded to #antivirals #valacyclovir. They didn’t help #motorfatigue - that responded to #neuroplastictraining.

Was it #MS? #EBV? Lots with MS do not have extreme fatigue. 🧵

#Mavenclad rebooted my immune system well 2020/21. I should have been able to stop #valacyclovir. Had a showdown with EBV yr 1, then in 2023 actual sx. However, I had wild type #covid19 immediately prior (monocytes trashed) and #B.2 presumably fall 2022. Covid affects immune system viral control.

I’ve been taking Valacyclovir 3 mos at 500mg AM & PM for #EBV and #me/cfs. It’s a different dosage to this study, but I’m noticing slight improvements with less PEM and crashes. Anybody else have positive results from #valtrex / #valacyclovir with #fibromyalgia and or #ME/CFS?

It may be something to do with having #MS. I’m aware of quite a number of folks with MS having success with #valacyclovir or #vemlidy.
