Two weeks ago I wrote 8 chapters (20k words) in five days and while it was hard I realized it was actually possible.

Now I'm going to try to see if I can make it a common occurrence starting this week!

Hunting For Human Decay-Priestess Lyra stretched out her fingers along the worm-filled soil of Lumiflora’s mulchy ground. She smoothed her hand along the mycelium network webbing its ways throughout a collage of colorful mushrooms shivering in a telepathic breeze. The voluminous scarlet and cream speckled mushroom cap atop her head quivered from the cries of intrusion and violation. Images flashed in her mind delivered by the mossy spines down her back. Two feet...GIGANTIC...furless. She knelt in an impression of earth, one of several, that cut a cruel path away from her, trampling the delicate ecosystem of her homeland.

My main character, who is a student at a magical academy mind you, finally visited the library for the first time in Chapter 12. Writing lazy idiots truly does have it's joys as a writer, and its frustrations for the reader.

The crows sings aloud what words avowed: three visions afloat that denote a new inflection. An end to misdirection and the titchy troubles of cultish bubbles, those tense structures that magnetize untrained eyes into knowing lies. Scandalized. Constant sighs. I welcome in what’s already within, just as I ought: an Enterprise of thought, to boldly go where spirits know; from cult to occult, from objection to reflection, from trained staff to wonky laughs and memories untold. Memories growing old, but never cold that reverberate and never hate, that contemplate and reciprocate in teaching and reaching, never preaching. They lie inside, where self cannot even hide from itself- that wealth of personality others rarely get to see. The free. The crow within that flies without. Never in doubt. I see the signs as I divine what my own heart means. What it screams. Where it finds you and I, a time to cry, a time to find another try. A time to die, when it comes. And it comes, on the calmest grin that always wins. That always won. But the journey’s not over when it’s done. The crow avows what’s never loud: when it comes, it’s just begun.
