Next best would be #YouareMyGlory with Yang Yang (some people don't like his restrained acting style but I do). Slow moving life-affirming slice of life story about a famous actress & a rocket scientist. I don't remember any bad guys so no suspense. Enjoyed for a change of pace.
I've dropped quite a few of them but she was lovely with Yang Yang in #YouAreMyGlory.

Fully 78% of my enjoyment of #Youaremyglory was watching him be pretty on screen. His whole fashion consultant look was *chef’s kiss*
But while I can appreciate that tv can be an art form and acting is a craft, sometimes I just want to look at pretty people on screen
I’m currently enjoying the very non idol, high craft drama #SwordsintoPlowshares, & Bai Yu (the ML) is excellent in this role -
but he would be completely the wrong fit for #YouAreMyGlory or #TheKingsAvatar - despite having more craft as an actor

I’m so torn. I think he was so perfect in #YouAreMyGlory and that his character had a lot of nuanced feelings. But I cannot confidently say that YY portrayed the ML with nuance lol

I agree he’s not the most nuanced or expressive actor so he does fine in dramas where that isn’t an issue - like #TheKingsAvatar or #YouAreMyGlory, or even #ImmortalAscension. However, he’s not terrible enough to ruin an otherwise good drama imo, and it certainly doesn’t warrant the hate he gets.

I put #YouAreMyGlory on for background while doing a puzzle but I got to the competition episode and now I’m very much rapt. I’ve seen this at least 10 times but I still love it 🐇 🌕
ML in #HiddenLove is a game developer (wish it was a real game) & #Dilbraba as a film star and #YangYang as a rocket scientist meet & fall in love over him teaching her to game in #YouAreMyGlory. Gaming is a big part of modern Cdramas.
