A river runs still and mirror-like below a canyon that is covered in coniferous trees. The river reflects the overcast sky. The view atop the canyon is about 100 metres above the water.

Shot from Barron Canyon, in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario.

I've seen some weird things while camping, but here's a new one.

Driving out of #AlgonquinProvincialPark this morning, I saw I pickup truck that was loaded up with... Lobster traps.

Haven't seen a single one in a couple decades, but those were definitely lobster traps.

t froze just long enough for me to lift the camera, hold my breath, and click. There’s nothing staged here—just a perfect, quiet moment.

The heron took off with that graceful confidence only nature can pull off, and I just followed instinct. Sometimes you shoot with your whole self, not just the settings.

A tiny-planet effect of a man in a red kayak, on a lake, looking up toward the camera. A water bottle is strapped to the deck of the kayak and a bright-green dry bag sits on the man's lap. His paddle is black with orange blades. The water looks black, around the kayak, but lightens to grey as the water stretches out toward the edges of the circle that make a tiny-planet illusion. Trees line the perimeter of the circle, and rock cliffs fill the lower-right edge. Surrounding the 'planet' are grey clouds that threaten a storm.

The image was captured with an Insta360 X3 camera that was attached to a three-metre monopod, which is attached to the deck of the kayak with a strong suction cup (the black dot at the centre of the image. Because the camera has two lenses, a 360-degree image can be captured, and because the monopod lies in between the stitch line of the two lenses, it becomes invisible.

The bow of a red kayak points toward the high cliffs of Barron Canyon in Algonquin Provincial Park, in Ontario, Canada. Sheer cliffs are reflected in the water, to the right; on the left the slope is gentler and filled with trees.
