Designed by C.J.McNair in an Art Deco style and built in 1939, the Ascot was considered a super-cinema as it had a capacity of 1,963 people. It closed as a cinema in 1975 and only the facade now remains.

Part of the 1916 former Southern Fire Station on Centre Street in the Tradeston area of Glasgow. I presume this section would have served either as accommodation for firefighters and their families, or offices.

Love this dormer window on a Scots Renaissance style townhouse on Lowther Terrace in the West End of Glasgow, and especially the sculpture on its pediment. The building was designed by James Miller and was built in 1904.

The former Govanhill branch of the Glasgow Savings Bank on Cathcart Road in Glasgow. Designed by J.C. McKellar, it was built in 1903. While it's a beautiful building, by the standards of the Glasgow Savings Bank, it's a relatively restrained design.
