This is a very tasty 7 year old sparkling wine from Oregon. Still young but already enjoyable. The nose is already very pretty, but the palate needs more bottle time. Nicely balanced, engaging and interesting. Fruit forward and complex. Crisp and refreshing. Starting to drink nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years. Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime, when the complexity comes in. Not bitter, and good by itself or with food. Full bodied and soft, with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with black cherries, black plums, currants, oak, licorice, earth, light vegetables, herbs, dark chocolates and peppercorn. Medium on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. This young Syrah from Red Mountain is starting to drink very nicely. Rich, elegant and fruit forward. Complex with a soft mouthfeel. Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves. This is an interesting Malbec from Red Mountain in Washington State. Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Showing more red fruits than I expected, and doesn't feel like one from Argentina or France. Needed over 2 hours in the decanter to open up properly, so be patient. The high alcohol is not too noticeable. Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.
