Not saying #TeamOxford is a cult, but it does use this strategy. Rather than engaging thoughtfully, most Oxfordnistas resort to bad-faith memes. I often face a barrage of seductively dressed heads of state, ambiguous book dedications or another purposeful strawman designed to end the conversation.
